Moto G5 Plus image leaked ahead of MWC 2017 launch, key specs revealed


According to a press invite sent out by Lenovo, Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus are expected to be launched on February 26 at the MWC 2017, Barcelona fest





Lenovo owned Motorola is expected to launch much awaited Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus at the Mobile World Congress 2017, scheduled later this month in Barcelona. 



Although, both the devices has been leaked few times earlier as well and many speculations related to their specifications have surface time and again, this time someone has leaked an image of the otherwise ‘confidential’ unit of Moto G5 Plus. The smartphone in the image has a plastic wrap, which reveals key specifications of Moto G5 Plus.



The image shared by a Reddit user gives quite a details about the design of Moto G5 Plus. Apparently, from the plastic wrap with printed specs, it is clear that Moto G5 Plus would bear a 5.2 inch Full HD display, which is less compared to its predecessor Moto G4 as it featured 5.5 inch display size. 



As per the image, in the camera department Moto G5 Plus will sport a 12 megapixel rapid focus camera and packs within a 3000 mAh battery with Turbocharging.


The device has been rumored to be powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset, which as per the image would be clocked at 2.0 Ghz. Moto G5 Plus also has a fingerprint scanner and NFC connectivity option. 



The Fingerprint scanner would be place on the rear, as hinted from the leaked image. According to the Reddit user who shared the image, Moto G5 Plus would support Nano SIM, unlike its predecessor which facilitated Micro SIM card. 



It also has Radio and Digital TV. Earlier rumors suggest, Moto G5 Plus would sport 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. It would run on Android Nougat out-of-the-box and offer near-stock Android experience.



According to a press invite sent out by Lenovo in January, Moto G series phone are expected to be launched on February 26 at the Barcelona fest. The company is expected to ship Moto G second generation smartphones in India and Europe ahead of global shipping.
